Mechanical Design Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create structural blueprints, dynamic linkages, and enclosure designs for rolling robots and drone airframes. You will focus on weight minimization, structural rigidity, and IP-rated enclosures.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create detailed 3D part models and engineering assembly drawings using CAD software.
- Perform FEA stress analysis on load-bearing brackets and rotational joints.
- Select advanced materials (carbon fiber, anodized aluminum, polymers) matching stress limits.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to prototype custom mechanical joints.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and material selection.
- Experience designing injection-molded, machined, or sheet-metal components.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with carbon-fiber molding techniques.
- Familiarity with IP67 waterproofing design methodologies.
